Daniel S. Char
Vice President and General Counsel

Daniel S. Char joined Targanta in February 2008 as Vice President and General Counsel. He has over a dozen years of experience counseling biopharmaceutical companies, including the launch of several products. He was previously at Idenix Pharmaceuticals, Inc., where he served as Senior Associate General Counsel from 2006 to 2008. Prior to that, Mr. Char spent eleven years at Biogen Idec Inc., ending his tenure there as Associate General Counsel. From 1991 to 1995, he was Senior Counsel at The Kendall Company, a medical equipment company now owned by Covidien Ltd, and from 1986 to 1991, Mr. Char was a Corporate Associate at the law firm Goodwin Procter LLP. Mr. Char received a BA in Economics from Tufts University and a JD from Harvard Law School.
