Access to Investigational Products

As a research-based organization, The Medicines Company is strongly committed to developing new products and solutions that improve patient care and advance medicine.  Clinical trials are the means by which The Medicines Company collects the safety and efficacy data necessary to obtain the approval of new, safe and effective products and make them available to the greatest number of patients throughout the world.  Clinical trials are also the means by which patients may receive access to our unapproved investigational products.

At this time, The Medicines Company is not accepting requests for patient access to our unapproved investigational products outside of our clinical trials, as we are focused on obtaining the data necessary for broad approval of these new products. The Medicines Company encourages patients to participate in our clinical trials.  Ask your doctor if participating in a clinical trial could be right for you. All of The Medicines Company’s trials are listed publicly at www.clinicaltrials.gov.
