The Medicines Company is committed to supporting research that improves patient care and advances medicine. The Medicines Company supports research that is scientifically rigorous and intended to address important unanswered questions that are relevant to healthcare professionals in the treatment of patients in therapeutic areas relevant to The Medicines Company’s strategic objectives, including:

– Cardiology,

– Infectious Disease, and

– Post-Operative Pain Management.

The Medicines Company’s support of research must comply with applicable requirements, guidelines, or standards, including those issued by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the Office of Inspector General (OIG), the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America (PhRMA), and the American Medical Association (AMA), and other recognized accrediting bodies and governmental authorities.

The Medicines Company does not support research in order to influence, induce, or reward customers for purchasing, prescribing, using, or deciding to use our products or to promote our marketed or development products or the off-label use of our products.

All research proposals and research grant applications submitted to The Medicines Company undergo scrutiny by a team of professionals for scientific merit and alignment with strategic objectives.
